Michal Mroz was selected by Minnesota United with the 83rd overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, capping off a draft class focused on technical upside and high-character talent. A standout at the University of Evansville, Mroz quickly established himself as one of the premier shot-stoppers in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). During his sophomore campaign in 2025, he was named the MVC Goalkeeper of the Year, leading the league in save percentage (.839) and recording a conference-high 10 saves in a single match against Northern Illinois.

Known for his calm demeanor and elite reflexes, Mroz was a central figure in Evansville’s resurgence, helping the Purple Aces capture the 2024 MVC Tournament title and earn their first NCAA Tournament appearance in nearly three decades. A product of the FC United (MLS NEXT) system, Mroz brings a professional mentality and a history of rising to the occasion in postseason play. His addition provides the Loons with deep developmental depth at the goalkeeping position as they transition into the post-Dayne St. Clair era.
