Bardia Hormozi was selected by Minnesota United with the 53rd overall pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. A versatile attacking threat from Princeton University, Hormozi is known for his exceptional speed and his ability to “carry his identity” onto the pitch. Before his collegiate career, he was a standout in the MLS NEXT system with Bethesda Soccer Club and was named the 2021 Montgomery County Player of the Year.

During his time with the Tigers, Hormozi developed a reputation for being a high-work-rate player who can oscillate between leading the line and operating as a creative midfielder. His technical foundation was evident early on, having been a 2021 All-American and a prolific scorer at the high school level where he once netted 26 goals in a single season. As a first-generation Persian-American, Hormozi brings a unique perspective and a relentless drive to the professional ranks, attributes that Khaled El-Ahmad has prioritized in this draft class.
