Where are they now?: Bryan Arguez

Today marks the 37th birthday of one of the most physically gifted midfielders to ever pull on a Minnesota jersey during the early NASL years. Bryan Arguez arrived in the Twin Cities with a resume that few at the second-division level could match, having spent time in the Bundesliga and captaining United States youth national teams. While his time in the North was relatively brief, his career remains a fascinating case study in the global journey of an American soccer “prodigy.”

Since retiring from professional play following the 2019 season with Orange County FC, Arguez has largely returned to his roots in South Florida. Like many veterans of his era, he has transitioned into the technical side of the game, focusing on youth development and private training in the Miami area.

He remains a visible figure in the Florida soccer community, often participating in alumni events for his former clubs and serving as a mentor for young players looking to make the same jump to Europe that he did as a teenager.
