Where are they now?: Kervin Arriaga
Today marks the 28th birthday of Kervin Arriaga, a player whose physical dominance and highlight-reel strikes made him a cult hero during his two-and-a-half seasons in Saint Paul. Known affectionately as “The Tank” by the Loons faithful, Arriaga has spent the last 18 months carving out a significant career in Europe, eventually landing in one of the world’s most prestigious leagues.
After being transferred to Serbian giants FK Partizan in the summer of 2024, Arriaga quickly proved that his game translated to the European stage. His performances in Belgrade caught the eye of scouts in Spain, leading to a successful loan spell with Real Zaragoza in early 2025. His impact in the Segunda División was so immediate that Levante UD moved decisively to secure his services on a permanent three-year deal in July 2025.
Now a regular fixture in La Liga, Arriaga has become a vital component of the Levante midfield, recently featuring in high-profile clashes against the likes of Real Sociedad and Sevilla. For Minnesota fans who remember his emotional farewell at Allianz Field, seeing Kervin thrive against world-class opposition in Spain is a testament to the growth he showed during his time in MLS.
