Where are they now?: Travis Wall

Today marks the 36th birthday of Travis Wall, a player whose professional journey began in the Twin Cities during the club’s formative NASL years.

While Wall’s time on the pitch in Minnesota was relatively short, he has since built a reputation as one of the most successful young coaches in NCAA Division III soccer, with a career that has frequently brought him back to the state of Minnesota.

After concluding his playing career, Wall immediately transitioned into coaching, starting as an assistant at the University of St. Thomas while he was still playing for the Loons. He eventually returned to his alma mater, Ohio Wesleyan, before taking over the head coaching position at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. During his four seasons with the Oles, Wall orchestrated a historic turnaround, leading the program to its first MIAC title in years and consecutive “Sweet 16” appearances.

In mid-2023, Wall moved back to Ohio to lead the powerhouse program at Kenyon College, where he continues to rack up conference championships and Coach of the Year honors. For Loons fans who remember his arrival as a decorated college prospect, seeing him become a elite tactical mind on the touchline has been a rewarding chapter of the club’s alumni history.
